"A charming, family-run hotel that sets the standard for Sweden"
This exclusive Swedish luxury and wellness hotel has an unrivaled history other properties of Stockholm can only dream about, having welcomed guests since 1907 and continuing to do so at the highest standard and level of service, to the present day.
Situated amidst the luxurious Östermalm, the Hotel Diplomat offers guests with a truly breathtaking experience that will have you believing you have stepped inside the colorful world of a black and white film, in a bygone era we can now only dream of having lived in.
Beginning with a warm welcome at check-in, my initial expectations were exceeded within minutes of entering the property. Boasting an extraordinarily flower-filled facade, the Diplomat was outfitted with noble wood, luxurious fabrics, and heavily weighted chandeliers gloriously drawing ones’ attention to the high ceilings.
The Hotel Diplomat is home to 64 rooms, 37 junior suites and an additional 9 suites, all integrating modern technologies to provide guests with all the comforts of the 21stCentury, whilst retaining an historic charm. No visit to the Diplomat would be complete without experiencing the hotel’s premier fine dining at the T bar. Service during dinner service is hardly believable, with waiters exceeding guests’ expectations by providing the highest level of standard.
The Hotel is conveniently located a short walking distance from most of Stockholm's attractions including the royal palace, the old town, the major shopping streets and the Archipelago ferry, making it the ideal location for visitors in town for the week-end. With service that would be hard to match, the Diplomat retains its historic charm and ensures guests enjoy an authentic Swedish experience in lavish yet humbly welcoming surrounds.
