It’s not too often one gets to be a tourist in their own hometown, so when the chance to check into the beautiful ’Studio Amy’ of the Collector’s hotels in Stockholm presented itself, I jumped at the opportunity.
Staying in an apartment can have so many benefits over staying in a hotel. You’ll have a fully equipped kitchen in case you prefer having some of your meals at home, a washing machine that can make such a huge difference if you traveling with children and not to mention - all the extra space. The bed is spacious and comfortable and the sofa can also be made into a double bed, if you are more than two people visiting.
The location of this property couldn’t be better. In the heart of the Old Town, known for it’s colorful, crooked buildings and narrow alleys, lies this 42 square meter jewel. It faces the main walking street and lies within walking distance to landmarks such as the royal castle, the city hall and the modern museum.
Studio Amy is a part of family run Lady Hamilton Hotel and The Collector’s hotels, that you’ll find right around the corner. This is where you’ll find the breakfast, can access the sauna or book their lovely afternoon tea. Even if you’re staying in one of the apartments, the hotel is well worth a visit with their extensive antique collection taking over most surfaces.
I would highly recommend Studio Amy for all couples looking for a little getaway or for families visiting Stockholm, who want all the luxuries of a hotel yet the comfort of having your own apartment.
